So two days ago was WHAM's Testimony Day! It's always great to have Testimony Days every once in awhile, just to testify and speak of God's goodness and faithfulness in our lives! It's so encouraging to hear from different people this time around.
Here's a testimony from Michelle! Michelle joined us beginning of this year & accepted Jesus into her life and we are so thankful to have her! She's a great person to have around and here's her story! :)
Before I knew Him, I live my life alone... I face lots of problems alone. If I have any problem, I will just keep quiet. I will only keep to myself. The problem started since college life and my course started. My classmate and I have problems. Then I don’t know how to express it. They think I’m weird just because sometimes I like to stay alone to study in college or do assignments, so I can finish faster, when they want to go out and shopping. They always make decisions to benefit themselves. So I don’t have choice to choose or anything. I want to say things but they will talk to me in a rude way. When I ask something, they won't be willing to talk to me or show their faces. Sometimes they backstab and say bad things on Facebook, just because I did some mistakes. But I forgive them all the time, He taught me that…
Other than that, sometimes I don’t feel like going to class the next day. But I eventually go and face them. I believe that He is with me and He gave me strength to face them.Actually, I feel really stressed. But now whatever they say I will just stay positive. If I feel down, I will seek Him or find my friends. After I met Him, I feel relieved. I remember I joined WHAM this year, in end of February, if I’m not mistaken… Whenever I have problem I seek Him. He is my listener and my friend that will never leave me. I pray all the time when I have problem... And I know that He is always here even though we can’t see Him. After I prayed, everything seems to be okay. And I also believe that the way I’m going through and the problems I face are planned by God. It’s the way to make me grow stronger. No matter what happens, He will protect me and help me go through it even though it will be hard.
Abigail, my close friend/sister/housemate, is the one who asked me to join. Before I joined she also talked to me about God when I feel down. She is the one who inspires me all the time. She never fails to make me smile when I feel down and hopeless. I also have other friends who are always there for me, they are also my housemates, Aarthi, Josephine and Sarah. I’m blessed to know them. During my first time coming to WHAM, I felt really welcomed and warm. Everyone here is really friendly and I feel like I’m at home. Even though I was quiet, now I have lots of friends who are always there for me. We all hang out together and go to places that I haven’t been before, like cinema. It was a great experience and then there are also other places. I want to thank God for bringing me to WHAM and I believe it was Him who sent me here so that I have friends who are always here for me and will not face my problems alone.
